U-NET will peer with other Internet Service Providers as
follows:
At Telehouse Europe or LINX
- other LINX members
- international ISP's who would qualify for LINX membership if they offered service in the
UK
At Palo Alto Internet Exchange
- other PAIX members
- CIX members connecting to the CIX router
At MAE-West
- other ISP's connecting to MAE-West
At MaNAP
- other MaNAP members
- other LINX members
This peering policy is subject to change without notice.
Direct Peering Connections
U-NET already has direct network interconnects (i.e. connections not at Internet Exchange
points) with other ISP's and is pleased to consider this subject to agreement on sharing
telecommunications costs.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Peering is subject to the following Terms and Conditions:
- Peering may be discontinued by U-NET at any
time without notice and or liability for any inconvenience caused however normally U-NET
will give at least three months notice of discontinuance of peering.
- Peering may be suspended should the other
party be causing network problems to U-NET however caused and will only be reinstated once
U-NET are confident problems are permanently resolved.
- IP peering shall be by means of BGP protocol.
All routes and networks exchanged, and the routing policy governing this will be
registered with RIPE or other recognised registry.
- Technical contact information must be provided
to U-NET and any amendments notified immediately (telephone, fax and email).
- There are no settlement charges.
- Each party shall bear its own costs of
connection to the peering point and shall agree apportionment of costs should any direct
connections take place prior to connection whether taking place at the peering point or by
separate telecommunications services.
- Neither party makes any warranties of any kind
regarding the interconnection service, express or implied, including but not limited to,
any warranty or merchantability or fitness or satisfactory nature for any particular
purpose. In no event shall either party be liable to the other party, it's customers or
any third party for any lost or distorted messages, damages to or destruction of data,
information, files or databases, loss of profits or other economic loss or for any other
direct, indirect, special or consequential damages resulting from the performance or
non-performance of the peering agreement. In no event shall either party be liable for the
content of messages or information distributed or otherwise transmitted through the
interconnection point.
